Customer Impact: Up to 30-minute service interruption within a 4 hour window.

Summary: For our customers that migrated from the Central Telecoms takeover we will be upgrading all data services onto the EmuTel network infrastructure. This work will reduce the distance covered by each internet connection, reduce latency and reduce the risk of future service interruptions. These works will also ensure that these circuits have increased redundancy and thus exposed to fewer planned maintenance events.

Impact: During the maintenance window you will notice a drop in internet connectivity, after which service will restore. Our Network Operations team will monitor this work closely and send an additional advisory should the maintenance be unsuccessful or have to be rolled back.

Key Changes: Upon conclusion of the network upgrade your service will have two fundamental changes that may cause a drop in access to some of your applications via remote access due to the change in WAN IP address and some email services that rely on our SMTP gateways. For reference your WAN IP will be unique and assigned at the time of transfer, our SMTP open relay for email services is mail.emutel.com.au
